This song, so far, is Rio’s favorite. It’s based on a story I made up a long time ago when Rio liked made up stories at bedtime. The story is about an elephant and an ant who are friends and go on adventures. This particular version of the story involves them flying in a hot air balloon, and is told from the perspective of their friend, a swallow who observes everything from an oak tree.

There are likely some mistakes in the Spanish lyrics.

La hormiga y el elefante son amigos desde años
El pequeño dice: “sigue adelante! Aventurando nos vamos!
Vamos Vamos a la playa a gozar…

Pero cuando llegaron, estaba nublado, ventoso y amenazaba tormenta.
”Escondase debajo mi oreja” dice el Elefante.
La hormiga se esconde, se cierre los ojos y cuando los abre...

Estaban volando en un globo aerostático.
Subiendo por las nubes con una ardilla como el piloto.
La ardilla saque las bellotas y las ofreció
y el Elefante los partió y todos tres se lo comio — que sorpresa!

Entonces se desaparecieron detrás una nube grande.
Imagino que están ya llegando a la casa de otro amigo
Pero que sé yo? Soy un pájaro, un pájaro no más.

Soy una golondrina, pasado un roble mirando lo q’ pasa.
Se vieron como estaban gozando, pero no ví a donde se fueron.
Estoy feliz a decirte que puedo terminar este historia:
ya ví mis amigos flotando en lo alto, sonriendo,
y volando! y volando una cometa – que sorpresa!
